I feel that Singapore should step up on CCT. If argued that the stepping up of CCT will be a hinder to the country’s economic because of the downturn, then it would be very wrong then. It is only through the installation of CCT that will control the number of crimes to the minimum especially the number of crimes have been rising, hence making the country a safer and more conducive environment to work in. For instance, if a country refuses to step up on CCT despite the increase of crimes to prevent it from hindering the country’s economic as installing more CCT requires a lot of money, hence, making the country a dangerous place to work in. Citizens will fear for their lives everyday and have no will of working, hence unable to steer the country to higher economic level, hence the more the downturn of the country’s economic. To me, safety should not be compromised in place of economic. Safety should come first. It is only by having a safe place to work that the country’s economic will prosper, hence, feeling that Singapore should step up on CCT surveillance in light of the economic downturn and the increase in the number of crimes.

  1. Hi Kai Fong I am Jia Hao. I agree with you totally that CCTV can control the number of crimes in the country. You also said that safety should come first right? But do you know that adding more CCTV around the country not only compromise citizen's privacy, it would also waste electricity. You would not like to have people watching you without you noticing right? And you should know that global warming is destroying the Earth, an you should know that we should do our part to conserve electricity and we are wasting non renewable resources. Singapore as you should know is a small country and I feel that there is no need to install too many CCTVs in the country.Thats all thanks for letting me commenting your post and hope you do not mind thanks!!!!!!
