CCTVs in Singapore are one of the most useful tools to catch criminals and uncover crimes. These small and hidden cameras are placed in hard to find places, yet at a angle that it can video the whole scene clearly. From these angles, the police could use these footages as evidences in court. Also, these little cameras could serve as half sercurity guards as the shop owner could place the CCTV at the corner of the store and when the guard in a sercurity room sees it, they could immediately take action. These servillance cameras has proved useful as many shoplifters has been caught and many shoplifters are now aware of the hidden cameras and does not try to shop left. For example, an Indonesian maid was jailed for nine months after she was caught ill- treating her employer's infant son. The parents had installed a CCTV system in the living room and saw the abuse of the 21/2-year-old.
