1) I hold my family most dear in my life such that I would strive to protect and defend them in times of threat or crisis.

The first aspect of why my family is most dear in my life is because I grew up with them. Since I grew up with them and have been living together for so long, naturally I will be attached to them and will put their lives above all others.
The second aspect of why my family is most dear in my life is because they are the people who truly care about and love me. My parents care for and love me because I am their son and my brothers are close to me as well since young. I love them as well and will protect them as much as I can.
The third aspect of why my family is most dear in my life is because they are my family after all. I must treasure my family for who they are because in my lifetime, I can have only one family who grew up with me since childhood (This excludes marriage, etc.).
